Meryl, a long line in black and beige
Two colours only, black and beige, blended in a play of shades that runs the length of the dress. Meryl falls long without breaking its line, and starts moving at the first step. A dress that carries across a room with no print to argue for it.
A V-neckline and delicate ruffles
The V-neckline opens the bust and clears the neck. Lower down, delicate ruffles trace an airy movement that follows your walk. The fabric hangs light and silky, which is where that fluidity comes from. The adjustable belt is included: it marks the waist wherever you decide, and without it the dress stays straight and full. Meryl comes in one size, fitting FR 38 to 44 (UK 10 to 16, US 6 to 12).
Styling it for mid season
A fine roll neck slipped under the V-neckline, the belt fastened over it, square heeled ankle boots: the dress shifts register and carries through autumn without effort. The other route is dressier, with a long coat worn open over the shoulders, court shoes and a few gold pieces. Either way the ruffles stay visible, and that is where the movement comes from.
For an occasion or a dinner
Black with beige keeps the dress clear of full evening territory: Meryl holds an afternoon wedding as easily as a table in town after dark. A clutch, fine heels and the belt marking the waist are enough to change the register. Left straight, with no belt, it goes straight back to the everyday wardrobe.
