Black Leather Shorts, Cut Short
The Carla shorts are the only leather piece in the collection, and you feel it the moment you pick them up: leather has more body than a woven fabric and keeps the shape the cut gave it. The black stays matte. The line stops high on the thigh, the legs run straight, with no flare. The waistband gives a little as you pull them on, then settles back.
The Leather, and What It Does to the Cut
The fabric is leather, the kind that takes on a patina rather than wearing out: the fold lines eventually draw their own marks and the shorts become yours over the seasons. The waist is given twice in the measurements, flat and then stretched, with two to three centimetres of give depending on the size. That is what lets them sit right without having to be pulled tight.
How to Wear Them in Cooler Weather
Opaque tights, high ankle boots and a cropped jumper left loose on top: the leather shorts carry the autumn without effort. A second route is a flowing blouse tucked in, a long coat left open over it and flat boots; the leather brings the texture that an all-fabric outfit tends to lack. Matte black agrees with whatever is already hanging in the wardrobe, which is exactly why they come out often.
Three Sizes, Three Sets of Measurements
The Carla shorts come in T0, T1 and T2, each with its own measurements. T0: waist 36 cm flat, 38 cm stretched. T1: waist 38 cm flat, 41 cm stretched. T2: waist 40 cm flat, 43 cm stretched. Leg length falls between 37 and 38 cm depending on the size. Lay a pair you already wear flat and compare: it is the surest way to choose.
Leather Care
Dry cleaning by a leather specialist, as the house recommends. Never a washing machine, never a tumble dryer. Day to day, a barely damp cloth over the surface is enough, then let it dry away from any heat.
