Viscose Crepon, Embroidery and Lurex

The stated composition is viscose crepon with embroidery and lurex chiffon, 100% viscose. Crepon is what gives the blouse its slightly alive drape: it does not cling to the body and recovers its shape after a day spent sitting. The sleeves are long and smocked, the smocking gathering the fabric along a band so the rest can billow. The inner layer backs the embroidered section.

How to Wear It in Cooler Weather

Tucked into raw denim and belted, with a fine cardigan left open over it: the blouse carries a whole October day without asking for attention. In the evening it slips under a fitted black jacket, with a long skirt and heeled boots. Under a coat, let the smocked sleeves show just past the coat cuffs, that is the detail people notice.
