White embroidery on a pale beige
The Solene dress lays white embroidery over a luminous beige: it runs down the front, wraps around the three-quarter sleeves and scatters towards the hem. The round neckline opens at the front and fastens with fine ties finished with matching pompoms. The cut stays generous from top to bottom.
Cotton, pockets and the belt
It is cut from supple 100% cotton, a fabric that carries embroidery well and holds its shape through the hours. The white threads follow their route down the front, around the sleeves and towards the hem, without ever covering the whole surface: the beige stays in the majority. Two pockets are set into the side seams, invisible until your hands go in. The matching belt comes with the dress, to tie or to leave aside. The neck ties knot loose or tight, the pompoms falling over the bodice.
How to wear it
For mid-season, slip a thin ecru roll-neck underneath: the three-quarter sleeves let the knitted cuff show, and pale leather ankle boots carry the tonal look further. Tie the matching belt high to mark the waist and lengthen the leg, or loose on the hips when you would rather keep the dress fluid and your hands in the pockets: the whole line reads differently. Another idea, a long waistcoat left open, opaque tights and flat boots. A black leather jacket, on the other hand, cuts straight through all that beige softness.

One size (S/M), FR 36 to 40, UK 8 to 12, US 4 to 8. Total length 140 cm, sleeve length 55 cm, chest 54 cm (measured flat, garment laid out). Our model Pauline is 172 cm tall.
Care
A dry cleaner, and nothing else. The dry cleaning the house recommends is gentle on the embroidery threads, which a harsher treatment would eventually pull. Keep the piece on a wide hanger, out of the light. Avoid a thin hanger, which ends up marking the shoulders.
